Also I just want to share a few testimonies and videos from several different things that Street LIFE Ministries have been involved in lately.
New Years Eve Outreach:
During one of our nights of outreach, we decided to start worshipping in the middle of Time Square while waiting on a few people for the subway. God moved so powerfully that night as we had at least 15 minutes of uninterrupted worship by the sidewalk. This was one of the best nights I had throughout the whole outreach and God was so present and exalted. People stoped and joined us to sing and worship. Praise broke out and Jesus was exalted! We even had guys who stopped and danced. What a glorious time it was indeed. Please watch:
Don't Walk By Jan 16th, 2010:
God moved so powerfully as we mobilized 360 volunteers to walk the streets of Midtown Manhattan looking for homeless. 462 homeless were engaged, 127 came back to the church for a hot meal and loving care and 56 people went to faith based rehab programs.
I've been so blessed to be inside the church and a part of the assessement team where I get to meet those who come back and minister to their needs. Check out this slideshow that one of my co-workers put together:

The New Homeless: Candido Gonzalez at New York's Bowery Mission - DailyFinance
This article gets me sooo pumped for next years outreach Don't Walk By.
More and more lately, there's just such an excitement in my heart recognizing the heart of God is for this. God calls His people to put their refuge in Him. In this case, the Bowery has been a place of literal refuge for men and women who have no place of refuge. In a time where it seems like there's nothing but hopeless all around, I stand in awe of how we can see the deliverence of God if we choose to trust Him and believe for the impossible.
Last years DWB was a success and I cannot wait to see what happens this year. This is going to the be the second year in the a row where ministries like the one I serve (Street LIFE Ministries) and other ministries like the Bowery and other ministries that serve the homeless, go and mobilize the Body of Christ to reach the homeless in this city.
Last year I was apart of the volunteers who walked the streets searching for homeless, this year I get to be a part of the team that will connect and bring some of those we encounter to a program and a safe place, using the social work skills I've been learning in school.

I'll Fight
God, where are the modern day William Wilberforces? Where are the modern day William Booths? Those who have a passion and desire like those great men of God had for the lost and oppressed person. The type that consumed you every single day, every waking moment of your lives. To be consumed with this holy passion and zeal for His kingdom, to see justice for the oppressed, and to see the lost come to Christ. Lord this is the day and the hour for your church to be risen. There's tooo many out there dying and never knowing who you are and the freedom that is in Christ.
God, how i hate the enemy.
